Matthew is a seasoned insurance professional with a passion for helping others. He strives to simplify the process of obtaining insurance while helping those he is helping understand the differences in options as well as what they enrolling with.
A native of west Michigan, Matthew grew up in Muskegon, MI and then attended Western Michigan University (BBA - 2011). After graduating from WMU, he moved to Grand Rapids where he has lived since. He and his wife, Emily, live in Grandville, MI.
Matthew is a licensed insurance agent for accident, casualty, health, life, and property lines of insurance. He started his insurance career as an auto claims adjuster with Farmers Insurance and then transitioned into a marketing role with Foremost Insurance.
His introduction in health insurance was during his time at UnitedHealthcare as the Market Sales Manager for Michigan. In 2023, he made the decision to help businesses and individuals directly by opening his own insurance agency - Avanti Ins Solutions.
Matthew serves on the Volunteer Leadership Committee for the American Cancer Society, and a Heart Walk Board for the American Heart Association. He also actively volunteers with the First Tee of West Michigan, VFW Post 827, and Miles for Memories.
In his free time, Matthew enjoys baking, golfing, and music. This last part led to him starting to DJ, which he still actively does.
